A serious intensive for young professionals looking to make lifelong connections and learn from some of the best executants currently working in the business. Each day students will either be participating in specialized workshops such as Acting On Camera or Social Media As A Performance Tool, or being instructed in three core aspects of performing: Acting, Dance and Singing.
Students will also be party to Q & As with those working behind the table including, but not limited to, Casting Directors, Talent Representatives and Directors.
To celebrate the camp's conclusion and all of their hard work, the students will perform a showcase for family, friends and industry professionals.
The Intensive will take place August 2nd - 12th: 9:30am to 6:00pm
with three performances on August 11th and 12th.
The Workshops
Durafest2
- Social Media as a Performance Tool
Durafest2 is a hilariously fun comedic duo consisting of Alex Maystrik and Pablo Hernandez based in Los Angeles, CA. They’re known for their in-sync movie monologue recreations which have been reposted by E! News and People Magazine. They also performed in the 2021 TikTok Live Trend-A-Thon event, hosted The Gray Man Red Carpet, and filmed with the legendary Russo Brothers!
Their passions include improv, comedy sketch writing, and possibly becoming professional wedding dancers.
Christianne Cruz
- Writer/Director/Producer
Christianne Cruz is a writer, director and producer born in Toronto and based in LA with her husband and producing partner, Alex Ott (End of Watch, Fury, Suicide Squad) and two daughters, Mia and Jordan. Christianne worked at Canada’s largest media outlet in branded content sales. In Hollywood, Christianne started her career at ICM Partners in the Motion Picture department. Her directorial debut film, Aftertaste, premiered in Lisbon at MotelX and at Screamfest LA. Christianne is committed to telling diverse stories that permeate pop culture - from the heart, for the screen. She attended The Bishop Strachan School and is a graduate of Queen’s University’s Drama Department.
